Dalaman Airport

Dalaman Airport is one of the busiest international airport in Turkey.  Milas-Bodrum Airport and Antalya Airport are the other two airports.  The Dalaman airport mainly services the towns of Dalaman and Marmaris.  Initially, the airport was opened for foreign holidaymakers from the United Kingdom and Germany.

The new international terminal of Dalaman Airport contains duty free shops, restaurants, cafes, ticket sales counters, banks and even exchange bureaux.  Other facilities in it are a post office, an emergency health care clinic.  Baby care rooms and children's entertainment areas including a pharmacy can be seen there.

Dalaman airport also consists of newspaper vendors, car hire, hotel reservation counters.  Passengers can very well make use of the florist, luggage deposit, luggage cart rentals, mosque, a chapel and a synagogue. The food and drinks supplied have been quite costly initially and many customers had reported the against this exploitation.  There are only minimal distances between the terminals and the passengers can easily walk to each other through the walkways connecting them.  No matter from any direction, getting a care is not that difficult in the Dalaman airport.

There are also many car hire companies that are represented at the airport.  Taxis are also served from the curb exterior to the international terminal.  This is the only way for the travelers who wish to reach the Dalaman town.  Buses are not seen and are not being operated in service to the airport.  In fact the bus station is quite far from the site of the airport. Buses only give services from city to city.  There is a superb car parking area at the airport, but there are many short-term and long-term parking spaces available here.  There are information and help desks maintained in the Dalaman Airport in order to help the passengers, which is located in the public arena.

Dalaman airport also dwells a bank branch along with ATMs.  A currency exchange bureau and a post office are also being operated in the terminal building.  Many restaurants and fast-food centers with a wide-range of Turkish and a variety of dishes along with the snacks is being provided.

Shopping can be made a memorable experience with the Grand Bazaar houses.  These shopping malls in the Dalaman Airport contain vivacious Turkish products like carpets and leather items, metal jewelry, and stunning handicrafts can be seen.

Beside the various shops, there are also duty-free shops both in the arrivals and departures arenas of the international terminal.  A newsagent and a florist are also being operated here.  Other services include a left-luggage in the international terminal.

A small but efficient medical clinic is also being operated for certain emergencies.  If the patient is serious, there are cabs that can reach the patient to the nearby hospital.  A superb game room displaying various computer games is also available.  A Conference and Business hall is availed here with Wi-Fi Internet access.  Along with all these major facilities, the disabled are also being considered here.  Special toilets, lifts, ramps and escalators are carefully made for the disabled people.
